I only see you
In the brightest light
You’re always in the spotlight
I only see you
In the corner of my eye
Passing by
It’s good enough for me
It has to be
You are glitter
I am rust
There’s nothing else between us
I’ll give you silver things
Sweet things
Time is elastic
Bruises in a secret place
Apart from blood and space
Your words so soft
Echo between days
Or seconds falling sideways
It’s good enough for me
It has to be
You are glitter
I am rust
There’s nothing else between us
I’ll give you silver things
Sweet things
When I see you I cannot drink your wine
But you’ll drink mine
Distant cousin, lost love
I couldn’t pay the cost
It’s good enough for me
It has to be
You are glitter
I am rust
There’s nothing else between us
I’ll give you silver things
Sweet things

Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
One-man project Vlimmer exists in the borderlands between post-punk and industrial/EBM, creating danceable darkness. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 8, 2022
The striking synth/goth songs on the latest from Vlimmer feel 50 stories tall, with gigantic walls of sound and bleak, ominous vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 26, 2021
The new album from VOWWS is driving and merciless, pairing industrial rhythms with doomy, down-stroke guitar chords. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 3, 2018
Less obviously shoegazey than the debut, but has a really abrasive industrial or post punk feel which contrasts well with the vocals. Reminds me of Curve or maybe early Cocteaus. Lovely stuff howa776
